Years of Operation: 1902-1929

Predecessor: Bell Watch Case Co.

The North American Watch Company was incorporated in February 1902 with a capitalization of $300,000 "for the purpose of manufacturing watches and other specialties composed of gold, silver, copper, etc."

An article published in the April 11, 1933 issue of the News-Journal (Mansfield, Ohio) suggested that the North American Watch Company had moved from Newport to Mansfield in 1900.

Once the Bell Watch Case Company vacated the factory in Mansfield, Ohio, the North American Watch Company quickly moved in. Soon after, the company hired W.A. Moore as Vice President, who was formerly associated with the Bell company.

The company manufactured gold-filled and sterling silver cases until around 1929.

In 1912, the company's capitalization was raised to $500,000.

In February 1933, the factory was sold to the F. Kinkel & Son company for use as a knitting mill. Newspaper reports suggested that the factory had been idle since 1929.

On March 16, 1933, the factory machinery was sold at auction, signifying the closure of the North American Watch Company.
