Serial Number Lookup
Incorporated June 30, 1908 with a capital of $20,000.
Shortly after offering a 17-Jewel non-magnetic railroad trainman's watch for a mere $7 by mail catalog, The Jewelers Circular Weekly analyzed two watches for calims that they were not the quality stated.
Sure enough, the movement was found to only contain 7 jewels, and the case was only coated in a thin layer of gold that was easily removed.
After the report was published, the Union Watch Co. claimed that it had no prior knowledge of the misinformation, as they were Swiss imports.
