At age 69, William Wallace Dudley leaves the Hamilton Watch Co. to start his own venture, the Dudley Watch Co.
1922
The first Dudley Watch Co. watches are produced.
1924
W.W. Dudley severs ties with the Dudley Watch Company as partner John D. Wood takes control of the company.
January 7, 1925
The Dudley Watch Company merges with the Tell Watch Company (Lancaster, Pa.), the Polliar Watch Company (New York), and the Boise Watch Case Company (New York).
February 20, 1925
After struggling financially for several years, the Dudley Watch Co. files for bankruptsy.
March 1925
John D. Wood, the president of the Dudley Watch Company, dies of a brain tumor at age 35.
April 11, 1926
Phares L. Baker (P.W. Baker Co.) purchases the Dudley Watch Company out of receivership for $55,000 and continues manufacturing the unique Masonic watch originally produced by the Dudley Watch Co.
1935
From 1935-1976, the XL Watch Co of New York continued the Masonic watch production.
