Case Details
The watch (when purchased in Dec. 2016) came in a silverode SB&B case with a worn loco engraving on the back. I fiddled with it a bit and put it away. Some nearly 5 years later I got it out oiled and cleaned it a bit, replaced the chipped DS dial with the same model dial I had in my spare dial collection, and cased it in a 18s Bates and Bacon OF SB&B case, which was also a spare. The watch has been running nicely gaining about 5 seconds in one day.

Dial Details
The dial that came with the watch as purchased had a chip repaired around the center hole and another at the outer edge at the 2 o'clock position. It was replaced with one from spares on hand.
Movement Markings
"ELGIN NAT'L WATCH CO. U.S.A." stamped on train bridge. "Ser. No., SAFETY BARREL, 21 JEWELS, ADJUSTED 3 POSITIONS" stamped on barrel bridge.
Gilt lettering is worn away showing underlying black ink. Sadly there are heavy screw driver gouges in the train plate around the case screw.
