Elgin Grade 287 a slight modification on the existing Grade 207, and the two movements are nearly identical. According to material catalogs, the only parts different between the grades is the balance (complete), click, and ratchet wheel. In the 1907 A.C. Becken catalog, the Grade 207 movement is illustrated while the Grades 287/288 are described.
