Elgin Grade 321 a slight modification on the existing Grade 188, and the two movements are nearly identical. According to material catalogs, a handful of parts differ between the grades, including the transition away from the safety barrel. In the 1907 A.C. Becken catalog, the Grade 188 movement is illustrated while the Grades 321/322 are described.
