Research Notes

The May 1887 issue of The Keystone reports this grade was new to the market.
Meggers/Ehrhardt list Grade 60 as adjusted to temperature and isochronism. However, catalog descriptions do not support this claim. Additionally, no Grade 60 movements have been found marked "Adjusted."
When produced in the open face Model 3 design, the extra pinion was not jeweled. This maintains the jewel count of 15, supported by original catalog descriptions.
In the May 1890 issue of The Keystone, the Grade 60 is described in a company advertisement as "No. 60, 18 Size, O.F., Pendant Setting." The illustrated cut shows a Model 6.
